Millipede-the tutorial!
Meanwhile I got more rose montées and I instantly had to try another colorway.

If you are interested in making this lovely bracelet for yourself, the PDF tutorial is available in my Etsy shop and you can even get it as print-out at Das Perlament.

Fold over lay down...

Somehow today I felt like making...another bracelet! Whatta surprise!

Silberkugeln mit winzigen Swarovskiperlen. Na, wenn das nicht edel ist!

I used silver beads with teeny-tiny Swarovski crystals. Quite posh, ha?

Millipede

I simply could not resist the bunch of new rose montées at Das Perlament recently. This little creature with a whole lotta legs is the result of my beady afternoon yesterday.

I've got another one to post today: "Da Doo Ron Ron(delle) by Sian Nolan.

I love the funny names Sian is choosing for her designs. And bronze, lime squeeze green and turquoise sky blue make a surprisingly lovely match.

Homework with "Hodo"! Bead & Button show 2011 is near!! It is about time I use up at least some of the kits I bought at the show last year. Otherwise there will be no space left for the new stash I am sure to buy this year :-)

This bracelet design by Rebeca Mojica is called "Hodo", which is Japanese for "sidewalk". The fiddly factor was just right for a Chain Maille beginner like me. And I also added some minimalistic ear dangles to match it.

One, two, three, four, can I have a little more? Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure to assist our wonderful British beading sister Sian Nolan in one of her classes at Das Perlament in Bonn. She was teaching her „Takara“-Bangle. Ok, I am not really a „bling“ person (keep catching me saying this quite often recently…) but this design is an absolute wowzer!! And I even skipped my „no bangle/ no nylon thread“ rule :-) Meanwhile I finished 3 of them and they are sparkling like mad in the bright sunshine. Maybe they will get more company, but right now I ran out of nylon thread and rose montées (Rats! Another blatant gap in my collection!)

I think these bangles should have a sticker saying „don’t bling and drive“. I was wearing them for my breakfast shopping today and I really had to force my eyes to the street instead of staring at the mesmerizing glitter with a silly smile. I think, this afternoon I will skip the highway and drive through the city instead. And I will be happy about every single red traffic light.

Und noch mehr Dreiecke!

Große und kleine, bunte und weniger bunte Dreiecke. Irgendwie konnte ich nicht aufhören. And even more triangles! Big and small ones, rainbow and pastel colors. Somehow I could not stop.
